How Is Asian Breast Augmentation Different?

These implants consist of a silicone shell filled with sterile saline solution. Saline implants can be filled after they are placed in the body to allow for minor modifications in size after placement and smaller surgical incisions.

Implant Position

There are advantages and disadvantages to placing breast implants above or below the chest muscle. Most Asian patients do not have enough breast tissue. Due to this difference in anatomy from non-Asian patients, the implant is placed under the muscle to achieve a natural upper pole shape and contour. Implant Type

Most Asian women have petite frames and small native breast tissue. Saline implants can be used but are not ideal. Asian Breast Augmentation Procedure

Makes an incision;

Creates a pocket for the implant;
Places the implant in the pocket; and
Closes the incision with sutures.
